I'll do the Q & A FAQ:

"If you have a blog, why do you write every day? Do you write every day?"

If Live Journal Counts as a blog, I would say, no, I don't write every day. I used to write frequent, but never could get into the daily habit. Not that I didn't try, but rather time restraints, and trying to figure out what to post daily became the main reasons I stopped trying. That, and growing interest in other things besides upkeep on my journal.

But I do think it is a good practice. It can give an outlet for a variety of things that churn in the mind. The question then becomes, What does one decide to put out there? After all, online journals are not the same as a personal journal. People can read what you write, and even comment on it. But, feedback isn't necessarily a bad thing. Though its usage online could use improvement.

"Why are you in SL? What brought you there? Why are you still there?"

Well, the first and foremost reason I'm in SL is because there is someone I truly and deeply love and want to spend time with. =~.^=

Curiosity brought me into SL. I'd been wondering what a virtual world is. Have been interested in them since the first one I saw utilized on MTV way back in the early to mid 90's. I can't remember the name of it, but it was the concept of a virtual world that one could go to and meet all sorts of people that drew me.

Well, the 'why am I still here?' can just as easily be answered with what I said with the first question about why I'm in SL. *grins*

Admittedly, I wasn't hooked to SL at first. My rez date is Aug of 2006, but I really didn't do anything until more around December '06, and moreso in January of '07. So, while technically in Aug. of '09 I'll have my 3rd rez day, I really don't feel like I've really had my 3rd year until about January.

There's some factors as to why. The main one being I didn't think I could make time for it while still being in college. However, when school started up again in January, I had found SL a fairly decent place to interact with others that I could talk to live and virtually face to face about assignments and books I was reading. It really made for a good external asset in that regards.

Later, RP became an interesting way to improve and create stories. I even found an outlet for photography of sorts. So, as a creative outlet, and even for a virtual environment to socialize, SL had proven to be fairly decent.

As for *coughs* other activities? I'm not going to go there. There is an outlet for them, but, the outlets I truly value about SL would be the creative outlet and social interaction. Even more so now with having a relationship with someone I cherish and being able to explore things together in a way that, while it can be done alone, it is more fun being able to share the journey with someone else.
