Love you too my Bailsie. ^^

Corporations overdue a lot of holidays. Each one is seen as an opportunity to make money, and sell certain things by trying to pull heart strings or guilt trips. Or, as is the trend nowadays, by overdone humor that is often rather tacky, but yet, people get tickled by their funny bones, and so they watch to entertain, and ultimately learn of the product, and thus likely impulse buy because it's familiar to them.

But of course, advertising and taking opportunities is not necessarily a bad thing. It's just that we almost drown in this sea of information, or the propaganda and subtle coercion that we lose ourselves in it.

For me personally, I prefer to consider holidays a good time to reflect on things. This year, I was happy to celebrate the holiday with you, after making gifts essentially from scratch. Not only is it an inexpensive alternative, but far more important, it was made with intentions from the heart. Sure a store bought card could be special, but that added touch of making something gives a personal touch and puts into action one's words of "I love you."

And I do love you my Bailsie Kitten. ^^
